Richard Bourne

With experience at two previous VC and PE backed start-up companies, Richard joined Zapmap in January 2021 as the business embarked on the next phase of its growth journey in the UK and internationally. Prior to Zapmap, Richard served as CEO of in-building mobile communications service provider StrattoOpencell, growing the business organically and via M&A.

Melanie Shufflebotham

Melanie is an EV market expert with deep knowledge of the charging market and EV data sets, built up over 10 years. As Co-founder she has developed the Zapmap app, products and initial revenue streams. Now as COO her focus is on building the Zapmap brand and market insights ready for the mass take-up of EVs.

Ben Lane

Ben oversees our Product and Data teams, Data Governance and Innovation. With more than 20 years working in automotive, Ben has been at the forefront of zero-emission mobility, working first as a technology consultant before co-founding Zapmap. He is passionate about creating high-quality digital products for EV users and ensuring that innovation is at the heart of product development.

Alex Earl

Alex joined Zapmap as Commercial Director at the start of 2021. He is responsible for managing the UK sales team as well as building out and managing our European team. Alex has been working in the EV charging sector since 2011 with companies at various stages of development, in different parts of the EV charging ecosystem and in various markets. He also brings extensive experience in product development, project management, partnerships and business development.

Joanna Edwards

Having previously led a team of accountants at Good Energy, Joanna joined Zapmap in 2022 to oversee the company's finances. Working closely with the senior team, Joanna has a wealth of experience covering financial accounts, management accounts and transactional finance.
