ubitricity has announced that it has more than 10,000 electric vehicle (EV) charge points operational across Europe.
The milestone was hit during the acquisition of nearly 1,500 AC fast charge points in the provinces of North-Holland, Flevoland and Utrecht, as part of ubitricity’s Dutch market entry.
Over 7,000 ubitricity charge points are available in the UK, and can be found on the Zapmap app and web map.
As a dynamic data partner, ubitricity charge points share live status and availability data with Zapmap, allowing drivers to make the most informed decisions when planning charging stops and routes.
The majority of ubitricity’s charge points are retrofitted into existing lamp posts - an ideal solution for EV drivers without driveways and access to off-street charging.
As a subsidiary of Shell Recharge, all 10,000 ubitricity charge point locations will be rebranded physically and digitally to Shell’s well-established customer brand “Shell Recharge”.

In the UK ubitricity is currently rolling out charging infrastructure across Local Authorities including; Liverpool, West Berkshire, Redbridge, West Suffolk, and Richmond and Wandsworth.
