Nissan has entered into partnerships with charging providers E.ON and Allego to expand charging infrastructure at its dealerships. Allego will install DC chargers at Nissan dealers in 16 countries. Nissan dealers will also build infrastructure with E.ON in Germany and the United Kingdom.
The project falls under the Nissan brand “Electrify the World”, part of Nissan’s ambition to invest in the development of a fast charging network in Europe.
The focus is on chargers with a capacity of 24 to 50 kW, suitable for recharging cars for test drives, after maintenance or for guests of Nissan dealerships. According to Nissan, 70% of the partner companies of dealers and workshops will be getting combined CCS and CHAdeMO charging points by 2024.
In Europe, Allego will take care of the delivery, service and maintenance of fast chargers at dealerships for at least the next five years. The charging stations are spread across 16 countries in Europe including Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. However, in both the UK and Germany, E.ON will be installing new charging devices for Nissan – and these will also include Alpitronic Hyperchargers with up to 150 kW charging capacity.

The charging devices will be open for all drivers of electric vehicles, regardless of vehicle make and charging capacity.
