Source London is the regional network of EV charge points covering England’s capital, operated by Total, the French energy company, on behalf of local councils in the area.
Those who want to join the network need to sign up with an account before they can access Source London charge points. Once registration is complete, points can be operated via RFID card with supporting functions via the Source London website and app.
Source London charge points have slightly different pricing structures depending on whether the customer subscribes to the network or would prefer to use it occasionally. Source London chargers have a connection fee and now use price per kWh used, previously having a cost-per-minute fee.

How to use the Source London network
Access to the Source London network is made via RFID card. Charge points on the network can be reserved online using the app or Source London website.
Pay-as-you-go users do not require an RFID card, instead following instructions displayed on the charge point’s screen.

All Source London points can be found on Zapmap by using the network filter. This can be used on the desktop and mobile apps, and displays only those points available to use by Source London customers and customers of associated networks.
Charging types and speeds can be filtered too, showing only those points that are compatible with users’ cars.

Source London is one of the largest public EV charging networks in the UK, though of course all of its points are in and around the capital. In London, it has more than enough charge points to compete with the rest of the UK’s major EV charging networks.
Set up by Transport for London and then Mayor of London Boris Johnson, Source London was one of a number of regional networks established to encourage the uptake of electric vehicles.
