Evolve is the main EV charging network on the island of Jersey, operated by utilities provider Jersey Electricity. Part of the Charge Your Car system, the network allows EV drivers to charge in public, and accessible by drivers with an Evolve, Charge Your Car, or Polar membership.

Access is via RFID card or app, with users having first signed up for an account. Once registration is complete, the points can be used on a pay-as-you basis. Evolve charge points are free to use after the monthly membership cost, and are in car parks across the island.

Finding Evolve points on Zapmap

evolve filters

All Evolve points can be found on Zap-Map by using the network filter. This can be used on the desktop and mobile apps, and displays only those points available to use by Evolve members and customers of associated networks.

Charging types and speeds can be filtered too, showing only those points that are compatible with users’ cars.

Operated by Charge Your Car, Evolve members can use the rest of the CYC network’s points across the UK. Like the regional network, access is via RFID card or app, with most points free to use after a connection fee, but some – especially rapids – subject to tariffs.

chargepoint scotland

Evolve members can use ChargePoint Scotland‘s points since the Scottish network is also operated by Charge Your Car. ChargePlace Scotland points don’t have any usage costs – including no connection fee – and all Evolve members are eligible for the same free usage.

cyc source west

Source West is the regional network covering the South West of England, and is run by Charge Your Car. Access is via RFID card or app, and membership also allows Source West customers to use Evolve devices as part of the umbrella CYC network.

cyc recharge
