The Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron concept has been revealed, previewing a production pure-electric coupe-SUV crossover that will make it into production in 2021.
Following on from the Q4 e-tron concept from the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the sportback version shares the same powertrain, allowing for a range of 311 miles on a single charge for rear-wheel drive models.
Set up with Audi’s quattro all-wheel drive system, the range drops to 280 miles on a charge, with both models using an 82 kWh battery. Maximum power for the Q4 Sportback e-tron concept 225 kW (306 hp).
Smaller than the existing Audi e-tron, the Q4 Sportback e-tron has a sleeker look than the conventional SUV that shares much of its name. Aerodynamics are improved, making the sportback version slightly more efficient – though at the cost of interior space.
The production Q4 Sportback e-tron will be Audi’s seventh electric model, building towards more than 20 pure-EVs from the brand by 2025. Further details will be announced when properly launched in production form.
